Backyard Critter

Sometimes on a chilly gray afternoon, you get a visitor that brightens up the day. We’ve had Red Squirrels off and on but they’ve become more active as the days lengthen. Here’s one that made my day yesterday, just 15 feet from the back deck.

As we finish up feeding birds for the winter, these guys help as they clean up the seeds on the ground. Their friskiness makes me think that a new crop is getting started.
