Monday Morning Parade

Early this morning, I walked with Ginger down our backyard path to the river to check for birds. As we approached, we heard some splashing and several young Canada Geese were chasing one another. Their whole family swam into view as we silently watched.

A minute later, a second family group swam by us.

And right afterward, group three passed in review.

The parade was over as the three groups paddled upstream. What a delightful way to start the day. Our backyard continues to delight us with a wide variety of wildlife.
