Youngsters
It’s that time of year when we see and hear lots of young birds. Northern Wrens have chicks they are feeding in our birdhouse and fledgling woodpeckers beg for suet from their parents.
These Common Mergansers were feeding on a dreary day last week.
Today, I saw these groups out for an early breakfast.
The intense green all around, the prolifera of new arrivals, the lack of biting bugs (but check for ticks) - what’s not to love about spring birding in Vermont?
